About the Project
Potentia Renewables Inc (Potentia) is constructing the Orchard Energy Storage Project, a 10MW, 5hr (50MWh) storage facility South-West of Houston Texas. This stand-alone energy storage facility utilizes non-lithium battery technology supplied by EOS Energy Storage (EOS), and is connected to the grid owned and operated by CentrePoint Energy. This facility will provide essential grid services and will contribute to grid-stability in the region. Orchard is expected to come online in 2025.
Project location
The Orchard Energy Storage Project is located on approximately 12.5 acres (5 hectares) of private land, 40 km south-west of Houston Texas.
